David is the founder and CEO of OpFocus. He founded OpFocus, Inc. in 2006 with the goal of helping companies run better businesses through improved systems, processes and reporting. Prior to OpFocus, David was Practice Manager at Theikos, Inc., a leading Salesforce consulting partner that was later acquired by Astadia, Inc. Before Theikos, David was a Corporate Applications Manager at MarketSoft Corporation where he managed systems by day and immersed himself in sales and marketing operations by night.
David’s affinity for business automation and technology developed while serving as a CRM Project Manager at Lucent Technologies (formerly Kenan Systems.) While working in Channel Marketing roles at Sybase in the mid 90’s, David also started a two year stint in teaching when working with the JET Program in Himeji, Japan.
He has served as an Area Governor for Toastmasters International, President of the Lexington Toastmasters Club, and board member of the New England Technical Sales Execs Association.
David is committed to OpFocus’ core values, and particularly walks the walk with Excellence Through Education through the many Salesforce Certifications he continues to pursue. Even as CEO, David maintains the Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Sales Consultant, Service Consultant, App Builder, Data Architecture & Management Specialist certifications, and holds the Salesforce Accredited Sales Professional credentials.
As an an Authorized Salesforce Trainer, David is passionate about teaching, and, on a quarterly basis, leads Salesforce training for system administrators and business users in our headquarters in Burlington, MA.
David holds a master’s degree in software engineering from Brandeis University and a Bachelor’s degree with concentrations in International Business and Japanese from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
